Diploma in Marine Engineering
If Maths and Physics are your strong suits, and you have a passion for the open sea, this course is perfect for you. Specially designed to provide you with the necessary knowledge, understanding and skills to serve onboard a merchant navy vessel of more than 750kW, you will graduate as a certified watchkeeping engineering officer.
This course will take a total of 3 years, spread over 3 phases. Students who enrol will need to complete all the mandatory phases reqired by the Malaysian Marine Department.
Upon successful completion of the training and passing all the qualifying prerequisites, you will be awarded with a Diploma in Marine Engineering and be Certificate of Competency as Officer in Charge of Engineering Watch.
Year 1: Academic and Professional Studies in the Academy
Year 2: Shipboard / Shipyard Training
Year 3: Professional Studies in the Academy
